Assoc. Prof. Wattanee Phoovatis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication and New Media at the School of Communication Arts, Bangkok University. She holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Chulalongkorn University and Bangkok University. With a professional background as a foreign news reporter, her academic work and research focus on media law and ethics, digital journalism, transmedia storytelling, and news credibility in the digital age.
She has authored multiple academic books and published extensive research on journalists' ethical practices, media convergence, social media verification, and ethical newsroom consciousness among journalism students. Dedicated to media literacy and journalism education, she actively contributes to advancing ethical reporting standards and critical media consumption in Thailand.
